Traditional English homes designed by Sarah Vanrenen
When I first met my husband he lived in a one bed flat in a beautiful court behind Chelsea town hall. The building had plush carpets in and outside the apartments, wallpapered walls, whereas inside the flat the decor was pretty much old fashioned but, surprisingly, very cosy. While it might not have been my taste at the age of 24, I can tell you that right now, I wouldn't have minded it at all. In fact I sometimes find myself want to recreate something colourful and reminiscent of old fashioned english design (and here's my try in the guest room).
One of the designers that I am really fond of, who can that take a town house in the heart fof Chelsea and turn it into something really special, is Sarah Vanrenen. Her colourful designs embody something that is quintessentially English in my eyes (and no wonder her own home featured in May 2017 in Homes and Gardens).
